Not the first words that come to mind when you think of the lowly slug, unless of course you're a limacologist (the branch of zoology dedicated to the study of slugs, yes, i agree, it's weird). But when you look at anything for long enough, particularly anything in nature, what was once boring and common can come alive.

So, I give you, Ariolimax columbianus, the banana slug (with a little musical accompaniment).
This was compiled as part of the time lapse exercise completed at the Bamfield Scientific filmmaking course.
